I am an experienced educator with thirty years of teaching experience across a variety of schools in Derbyshire, Hertfordshire and East Sussex. During my career, I have experienced a wide variety of class teacher and senior leadership roles, including Senior Teacher and Deputy Headteacher. I have also served as a school governor during my career and I strongly value the importance of governance in supporting and challenging schools to provide the best possible education for their pupils.
I am a parent of two school-aged children, which gives me an additional perspective on the educational experience of young people. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, travelling, visiting art galleries and spending time with family and friends. Living close to the South Downs, I make the most of the beautiful surroundings and enjoy walking whenever the weather allows.
