Sarah Cottingham

I grew up in Wiltshire and moved to Sussex to undertake my Nursing Training in 1999. Following this I worked as a staff nurse. After meeting my husband I settled in East Sussex. I am now a full time Mum of 7 children whose ages range from 11 to 26 years. I was a foundation governor of the St Thomas a Beckett federation from 2016-2025. During which time I was the Safeguarding governor and Chair of the Ethos group and counted it a privilege to work with the staff, pupils, governors and diocese in maintaining the Christian distinctiveness in the two CEP schools of Blackboys and Framfield.

I have links with Blackboys School dating back to 1980, as my husband and all his siblings attended the school, followed by our own children attending there At present I work part time for my husband in our Family Business in Halland. I am also an organist and Sunday school teacher at the church where we as a family worship in Eastbourne.

I have been a witness to the changes and developments at Framfield school over many years and have a keen interest in promoting its continual progress. I now sit as a foundation governor for Framfield School as it partners with the Pioneer Federation and look forward to supporting them in this journey.
